Safe crossing for cyclists and pedestrians
To increase the safety of crossing cyclists and pedestrians at the intersection of Luitenant Lippenslaan with the Joe Englishstraat, the existing crossing will be moved to the other side of the intersection. By making the crossing on the other side, the crossing length can be shortened. There will also be a separate bicycle crossing at the new crossover. In addition, the crossing will be equipped with traffic lights. These modifications will greatly improve the safety of crossing for cyclists and pedestrians.
In addition to the construction of a new crossing, the connection of the Joe Englishstraat to the Luitenant Lippenslaan will also be reorganized. The connection is made more angled and more compact. This makes the intersection easier and safer for all road users.
Diversion to Van der Valk Hotel Antwerp
From September 2, 2018 the street of the hotel via the Luitenant Lippenslaan is not accessible. Take the Stenenbrug or Dr. van de Perrelei and turn into the Joe Englishstraat at the roundabout.
In the Joe Englishstraat there is a parking ban on both sides of the street during the works. Parking is free in the parking lot of the hotel.
